Dodaco - alu free

Spout pouches and polylaminates: “standard” and “Alu free”

Dodaco is one of the food packaging companies that has decided to specialise in filling spout pouches. Our Doypacks and Cheerpack, as well as having different types of caps (we have already written about Babycap and Brickcap), are available in different types of polylaminate. Here we present the “standard” and the “Alu free”.

The “standard” polylaminate used by Dodaco is four-layer: PET12 (polyester); ALU9 (aluminium); PET12 (polyester); PE55 (polyethylene). In order to give the packaging greater mechanical resistance during storage and transport, it is possible to thicken the polyethylene layer (i.e. PE70).

At Dodaco we are able to package organic purees of fruit, vegetables and nutraceutical foods in stand up pouch packaging of various capacities (from 70 ml to 250 for the Doypack and from 70 ml to 500 ml for the Cheerpack) and materials. All of them guarantee the protection of the content from oxygen and light radiations, avoiding oxidative effects and browning of the product. Furthermore, they are all suitable for hot filling up to 92° C.

The “Alu free” polylaminate is a material that does not contain the aluminium layer, thereby reducing the environmental impact. Thanks to the presence of barrier polyester it guarantees the same barrier performance, oxygen permeability, light protection and product shelf life compared to the previous one. In addition, this polylaminate can be transparent without losing its characteristics, making it perfect for those who want to focus their marketing strategy on the colour and texture of the product.
